Travel to the Isle of Man

NB: Weather cannot be guaranteed!

The Island is well connected and can be reached by both air and sea from a number of ports across the UK and Ireland.

Travelling by sea you will arrive in the capital, Douglas, from where easy access is available to all locations across the Island. Those arriving by air will arrive at Ronaldsway airport near the southern town of Castletown.

The race starts in the northern town of Ramsey and finishes in Port Erin so most visitors choose to stay in either Ramsey, Port Erin or Douglas. Transport on race day will be provided to the race start and bags can be transported to the finish for you. The post race presentation will be held in the Cherry Orchard hotel near the race finish in Port Erin. Rooms are available here should you wish to make a night of it! (www.cherry-orchard.com)

Those wishing to make their own travel arrangements can view all the available options here – http://www.visitisleofman.com/travel/.

Combined boat/train tickets are available and can offer very good value and flexibility. Fares start from £62 return from Lancashire and Merseyside or £68 return from North Wales, Cheshire and Yorkshire. For more information visit the excellent seat61.com – http://www.seat61.com/Isle-of-Man.htm
